西安城的中轴线，是一根贯穿了三千年兴衰的脊梁。从西周起，王朝的倒影和历史的尘埃都沿着这条轴线次第展开，层层堆积。在西安的“古”当然是一种资产，也是一种负担。它让这座城市必须在保护和发展的钢丝上小心翼翼地行走。

Xi'an's central axis carries the weight of three thousand years — a backbone of glory and dust. Since the Western Zhou Dynasty, reflections of dynasties have unfolded along this line, layer upon layer. Here, antiquity is both treasure and burden, compelling it to walk a fine line between preservation and development.

2024年，DJX对角线设计王兵团队以高奢酒店的标准主持完成位于国家航天基地的西安星河云谷酒店，填补了西北地区顶级水养酒店的空白，更从体验的角度重新定义了“高端”酒店，创造出了一个前所未有的，实用乌托邦般的酒店建筑。

它提供了一种诱人、愉悦，以至于情不自禁想要体验和沉浸的场所。与此同时，西安这座紧握历史权杖的古城，也和建筑、空间以及每一个使用者的身体互为界定与补充。在星河云谷，城市可能是第一次通过一间酒店清晰地存在于身心中，这间酒店将真切地拥抱西安城的人。

In 2024, the team of DJX Design completed Xinghe Yungu Hotel in the National Aerospace Base to the standards of a high-end luxury hotel. This project not only fills the gap for top-tier aquatic wellness hotels in Northwest China but also redefines "luxury" from an experiential perspective, creating an unprecedented, practical utopia in hotel architecture.

It offers a space so compelling and delightful that one is irresistibly drawn to experience and immerse oneself within it. Simultaneously, the ancient city of Xi'an, firmly holding the scepter of history, interacts with the architecture, space, and every user's physical presence, defining and complementing each other. At Xinghe Yungu, for the first time, the city might clearly exist within the body and mind through a hotel – a hotel that will genuinely embrace the people of Xi'an.

西安缺少一座传统定义下的高端酒店么？

从叩问出发，对角线重新定义了西安星河云谷酒店的价值主张：星河云谷不应是又一座提供睡眠场所的巨型机器，星河云谷需要成为“都市中的异质场域”——一个让身心从日常定轨中暂时抽离，在垂直维度完成能量转换的精神场所。

市场和客户都以一座高端酒店期待星河云谷，但对角线创造“都市微度假目的地”，创造与城市对话的精神空间，承载一种全新的，同时也有迹可循的新生活方式。

What is a luxury hotel?

Was Xi'an lacking a luxury hotel by traditional definition?

Starting from this inquiry, DJX redefined the value of Xinghe Yungu hotel；it would not be another large-scale sleep station, but a "different kind of place in the city" — a spiritual space where body and mind break from daily routines and recharge across vertical dimensions.

The market expected a luxury hotel, but DJX created an "urban micro-retreat destination" — a mental space in dialogue with the city, supporting a new yet recognizable lifestyle.

重力感是所有建筑结构体系的精髓。以立面为依托，设计遵循着用地红线与原始建筑层高，完成体块与功能的穿插连接关系，创造出一个能令人感受到重力与城市大地的入口。

"If the form doesn't move me, I start over."

Gravity lies at the heart of all structural poetry. Working with the facade, the design adheres to the site boundary and original building height, interconnecting volumes and functions to create an entrance that makes one feel grounded to the city earth.

建筑结构与外观自然形成，体块进一步分割了光与气流，阵列的立面与西安式的灰墙加强了这垂直维度的体验，如令我们意识到大地的深度，也开始在进入的伊始，幻想升空和轻盈的漂浮。

The building's structure and form appear naturally conceived. The volumes further segment light and airflow, while the arrayed facades and Xi'an-style gray walls intensify this vertical experience—making us aware of the earth's depth while, from the moment of entry, inspiring fantasies of ascension and weightless floating.

从一开始光就被计算在内，进入大堂，光从暗下来的体块中溢出，从四面八方凿空黑暗，流淌的自然光和经过设计的灯光是渗入的新体块，所有材料的表面经过光的反射吐露出全然不同的气息，然后成为结合一致的整体。眼睛逐渐适应内部的光线，然后被幻象一般的另世界击中。

Light was calculated from the very beginning. Upon entering the lobby, light spills from darkened volumes, carving out the darkness from all sides. Flowing natural light and carefully designed illumination become new, penetrating volumes. All material surfaces, reflecting the light, exhale entirely different auras, then merge into a cohesive whole. As your eyes adjust, a different world gradually reveals itself, striking you with its illusory quality.

Crafting a Vertical Living Field

“建筑的时间是被滞留的时间，在最伟大的建筑前时间总会停止脚步。”

尽管星河云谷由现代材料建造，但从大堂开始，所有的公共空间仍不可避免地让人感觉置身时间旷野之外——地质、土壤、宇宙、粒子、声光似乎在宏伟的不断翻转闪烁的腔体内部混合，不断冲击人们的感知，这些是设计刻意为之的部分。

"Architectural time is suspended time; before the greatest architecture, time always halts."

Although Xinghe Yungu is constructed with modern materials, from the lobby onward, all public spaces inevitably make one feel placed outside time's vastness—geology, soil, cosmos, particles, sound, and light seem to blend within a grand, ever-shifting and flickering chamber, continuously impacting perception, all by deliberate design.

“远宏近秀”的设计概念随进入逐渐明晰。金属、石材、木饰、织物等等构建起一座巨型圣殿，其氛围并非来自昂贵的材料，而是源于材料被放置和感知的方式。空间的质量、光的层次、寂静的声响——这些成为塑造体验的根本。

The design concept of "Grand from Afar, Refined up Close" becomes clearer upon entry. Metal, stone, wood veneer, textiles, and more construct a colossal sanctuary. Its ambiance stems not from expensive materials, but from the way materials are placed and perceived. The quality of space, the layering of light, the sound of silence—these become the fundamentals shaping the experience.

在满足建筑策划、功能和体验舒适需求的同时，设计师始终让空间保持着一种显著的疏离、抵抗和张力感。这种难以探测的神秘感，一次又一次地激发着客人的想象和热情。在恢弘的统一之下，是随着镜头推进后层叠的、近乎繁复的细部处理，触感、听觉、嗅觉逐一被调动，让人想起普鲁斯特“对家中温暖的回忆温柔地暖和着我冻僵的四肢，家和感官的愉悦化为同一种感觉。”。

While meeting the requirements of architectural programming, function, and experiential comfort, the designers consistently maintained a distinct sense of alienation, resistance, and tension within the space. This elusive mystery repeatedly ignites guests' imagination and enthusiasm. Beneath the majestic unity lies layered, nearly intricate detailing that unfolds as one explores further. Touch, hearing, and smell are sequentially engaged, reminiscent of Proust: "the gentle memory of home's warmth thawed my frozen limbs, home and sensory pleasure merging into a single sensation."

扶梯结构冤枉如城市倾轧，餐厅在其映衬下纤巧轻盈，用餐的愉悦和生动呼之欲出。

The escalator structure stands robust like urban infrastructure, against which the restaurant appears delicate and light, making the joy and vibrancy of dining almost palpable.

浓重古老的城市历史流入餐包，化为饰面肌理、纹样和色彩，隆重地与公共休闲区形成强烈的视觉反差。

The profound, ancient history of the city flows into the dining rooms, transforming into surface textures, patterns, and colors, creating a solemn and striking visual contrast with the public leisure areas.

汗蒸广场被“点燃”，酒吧如晚霞的绮丽炫光随时可以搅动起荷尔蒙。

The sauna plaza is "ignited," while the bar, with its gorgeous, dazzling light akin to sunset, is ever-ready to stir emotions.

SPA大厅重归宁静的秩序，岩石、土壤、星球的隐秘刻痕无处不在，灯光垂首，无数个隐秘角落皆可探寻遨游。

The SPA hall returns to a tranquil order. The hidden marks of rock, soil, and planets are ubiquitous; lights bow down, and countless hidden corners invite exploration and wandering.

与以往将水区视为功能配套的逻辑不同，星河云谷的水被赋予叙事主权。水区内，巨柱在垂直方向与天花穿插互构，形成有力而温柔的包裹，使人再度体验回归母体的安宁洁净。水的流动、侵蚀和不断滴落也让建筑像液体一样流动。

Unlike the conventional logic of treating water zones as functional amenities, water at Xinghe Yungu is granted narrative sovereignty. Within the water zone, colossal pillars interlock with the ceiling vertically, forming a powerful yet gentle embrace, allowing one to re-experience the peace and purity of returning to the womb. The flow, drip, and gentle erosion of water give the architecture itself a liquid quality.

视觉总是有距离感的，而水疗区则将触觉无限放大，这是靠近、亲密和爱慕的感觉。在澎湃的情感体验中，我们总会闭上眼睛——比如做梦、享受音乐以及拥抱亲爱的人。

Sight always maintains a sense of distance, whereas the spa area infinitely amplifies the sense of touch—this is the feeling of proximity, intimacy, and affection. In overwhelming emotional experiences, we always close our eyes—as when dreaming, enjoying music, or embracing a loved one.

值得玩味的是提供共浴公共泡池，丰富的体验层次精准回应了现代东方人对度假生活的复杂期待——偶尔独处，常常联结。进入可男女共浴的公共泡池，建筑切割天幕，温柔转化为一种中性的宁静，水与光共同创造的反射与透明性将天空引入水中，也将建筑体量“溶解”。水汽氤氲弥漫，建筑创造出宁静的听觉体验，那是一种有回应的，能唤醒记忆和深层放松的寂静。

Of particular interest is the provided mixed-gender public bathing pool. Its rich layers of experience precisely respond to the complex expectations of modern Easterners towards resort life—solitude at times, connection often. Upon entering the mixed-gender public pool, the architecture frames the sky, the gentleness transforming into a neutral tranquility. The reflections and transparency created by water and light draw the sky into the water, "dissolving" the architectural volume. Mist permeates the air, and the architecture creates a serene auditory experience—a responsive silence that awakens memories and induces deep relaxation.

Balance and Courage
Redefining Efficiency per Square Meter

在星河云谷的设计中，始终贯穿着一场关于价值的深层博弈——在传统的酒店坪效与极致的体验深度之间，设计师选择了后者。

The design of Xinghe Yungu is permeated by a deep-seated deliberation concerning value—a choice between traditional hotel efficiency per square meter and the depth of ultimate experience, with the designers opting for the latter.

这直接体现在客房规划的魄力上：放弃国际五星酒店标准的45平方米模数，将基础房型扩展到64平方米以上。这并非对面积的单纯挥霍，而是为"微度假"理念所预留的可能性，一个可以容纳汤泉、茶席、社交与真实生活的空间。

This is directly reflected in the boldness of the guest room planning: abandoning the standard 45-square-meter module of international five-star hotels and expanding the basic room type to over 64 square meters. This is not mere squandering of area, but rather reserving possibility for the "micro-retreat" concept—a space that can accommodate hot springs, tea ceremonies, social interaction, and authentic living.

每间客房均设置温泉、座榻、茶桌，顶奢在星河云谷的定义是极致的舒适，微度假的多层次、高密度与沉浸感从日出未现滚动持续到最浓的夜色笼罩西安，时间感在这里可以被模糊掉。

Each guest room is equipped with a hot spring pool, a sitting platform, and a tea table. At Xinghe Yungu, ultimate luxury is defined as supreme comfort. The multi-layered, high-density, and immersive nature of the micro-retreat rolls on from before sunrise until the deepest night envelops Xi'an, allowing the sense of time to be blurred here.

​概念颠覆后，酒店要与客人共同完成一次消费观念的升级。通过创造令人由衷愉悦、愿意长时间沉浸的丰富空间，自然而然地引导出一种更集约、更具体验感的生活方式，从另一个角度看也可以是“享乐主义的可持续性”，在有限的时间和场景切换中，拥有完整的身心休憩，这本身就是对可持续理念最优雅的践行。

Following this conceptual transformation, the hotel must collaborate with guests to achieve an upgrade in consumption mindset. By creating richly varied spaces that elicit genuine pleasure and a willingness to immerse for extended periods, it naturally guides towards a more focused, experience-rich lifestyle. From another perspective, this can be seen as "the sustainability of enjoyment"—finding genuine restoration within a finite time-frame and through scene changes is itself the most graceful practice of sustainability.

The Redefined Landscape

在更宏大的视角下，星河云谷回应了现代建筑中被遗忘的使命。当极简主义让我们的感官与梦想变得“无家可归”时，这里试图重新为身体、记忆与想象筑巢。它用水的仪式、光的层次、材料的叙事，将无形的体验之流凝结为有形的存在象征，将我们久久被工业文明模糊掉的东方式的度假休闲重新打磨出来。

From a broader perspective, Xinghe Yungu responds to a forgotten mission in modern architecture. When minimalism left our senses and dreams "homeless," this place attempts to rebuild a nest for the body, memory, and imagination. Through the ritual of water, the layering of light, and the narrative of materials, it condenses the intangible flow of experience into tangible symbols of existence, re-polishing the Eastern style of leisure and retreat long blurred by industrial civilization.

星河云谷的实践也在证明，酒店可以如同一个精密的生态系统，通过混合功能的编程思维，将休闲、旅居、汤泉、社交乃至文化沉思融合，这种多样性本身就是经济韧性的来源，更是一种根本的吸引力。

The practice of Xinghe Yungu also demonstrates that a hotel can function like a precise ecosystem. Through a programming mindset that mixes functions, it blends leisure, sojourn, hot springs, social interaction, and even cultural contemplation. This diversity itself is a source of economic resilience and a fundamental attraction.
